RENT A TENT OFFERS ACCOMMODATION FOR MUDGEE CONCERT

Mudgee Region Tourism, the Australian Rural Education Centre (AREC) and concert promoter Roundhouse Entertainment have joined forces to help alleviate the accommodation shortage in Mudgee for the a day on the green concert on Saturday October 31.

A premium Rent A Tent business has been approached and will now be offering support to the event, setting up at the AREC for the weekend.

With the AREC catering for up to 400 people with shower and toilet facilities and being only five minutes from the centre of town, it provides the perfect alternative for affordable weekend accommodation.

Two, three and four man tents are available for two night’s stay, Friday October 30 and Saturday October 31.  Patrons can add extra items in the booking process such as stretcher beds, mattresses, sleeping bag and pillow combo, chairs, tables and LED lanterns or bring all your own gear. Tents are set up and packed up for you.

The AREC hosted a Rent A Tent for an a day on the green concert several years ago during the mining boom and are successfully used at many major outdoor events such as the Deniliquin Ute Muster, the Birdsville races and CMC Rocks Queensland.

Shuttle buses will run from the AREC to and from Robert Oatley Vineyards, giving patrons a hassle-free transport option to enjoy this year’s a day on the green.

a day on the green promoter Michael Newton said: “We’re getting feedback that accommodation is again at a premium in Mudgee making it difficult for ticket holders who live out of town.  This is a great opportunity for well-priced accommodation close to town. You can get on a bus from the camping site to and from the show. Mudgee is really happening over the a day on the green weekend and last time it was a great fun vibe at the AREC.”

ICEHOUSE, James Reyne, Mark Seymour, Moving Pictures and Pseudo Echo make up the stellar line-up for this year’s concert.
