Jimmy Barnes & The Living End

17 October 2014

Ready To Rock Wineries Nationally!

With Special Guests

2014 ARIA-nominated Australian rock legend JIMMY BARNES kicks off his national 30:30 Hindsight tour tonight (Friday 17 October) with a sold out Sydney show at the Enmore Theatre.

Forced to take it easy following complications from elective back surgery, Jimmy has back in front of the mic this week rehearsing for what is to be a celebratory tour of hits from his #1 album 30:30 Hindsight (out now through Liberation) and other classics from his iconic catalogue.

With 30:30 Hindsight heading towards Platinum sales, Jimmy has been nominated for Best Rock Album in the 2014 ARIA Awards to be held in Sydney on Wednesday 26 November.  Jimmy presented two ARIA Artisan Awards for Producer Of The Year and Engineer Of The Year at last week’s ARIA nominations event at the NSW Art Gallery.

Across the oceans, 30:30 Hindsight will be released in the UK and Europe on Monday 27 October, with Lay Down Your Guns moving up to A List rotation on Planet Rock UK - Britain’s No.1 rock station.

Meanwhile in Australia, two new tracks from the album officially hit radio this week - Jimmy Barnes feat. Diesel on ‘I’d Die To Be With You Tonight’ and Jimmy Barnes feat. Tina Arena and Joe Bonamassa ‘Stone Cold’ .

Following tonight’s Sydney show, the 30:30 Hindsight tour continues throughout Australia, with the a day on the green concerts kicking off on Saturday November 1 at Robert Oatley Vineyards Mudgee and ending on Saturday December 20 at Rochford Wines, Yarra Valley VIC.

A 30th anniversary needs a special celebration, and to that end, these will be concerts with a difference.  Part of the show will feature the Jimmy Barnes Greatest Hits Spinning Wheel, made up of 30 classic Barnes tracks.  Wherever the Wheel stops determines which song the band will then perform, thereby helping to create new sets at each performance.

The Living End, who featured on the album’s first single with a blistering new version of ‘Lay Down Your Guns’ - are the special guests on all shows.   The Baby Animals, You Am I, Ian Moss, Troy Cassar-Daley, Mahalia Barnes and Nick Barker – some of whom have recorded duets with Jimmy for the album - will play variously across the shows.
