Rolling Stone described Noiseworks lead singer JON STEVENS as having “one of the most powerful rock voices Australia has ever heard”, and with Noiseworks he will celebrate some of the finest moments in Australian rock at a one-off an evening on the green concert at Kings Park & Botanic Garden on Saturday March 31.

Joining Noiseworks will be DARYL BRAITHWAITE, RICHARD CLAPTON, 1927 and CHOIRBOYS.

It is a stellar line-up made possible by the ongoing collaboration between the ‘evening on the green’ and Perth promoters Mellen Events.

Noiseworks were formed in Sydney in 1984 and the 80’s rock era was never the same again. ‘Take Me Back’, ‘Hot Chilli Woman’, ‘No Lies’ and ‘Touch’ were smash hits that helped propel the band to enormous popularity across Australia.

There have been occasional reunions in recent years but with Noiseworks lead guitarist Stuart Fraser popping the question to get the band back together at the end of last year, the time was right. Jon Stevens is back and Noiseworks are ready to rock Perth!

DARYL BRAITHWAITE enjoyed huge popularity in the 70s and 80s with Sherbet and then as a solo artist. His hits include ‘As The Days Go By’, ‘One Summer’ and the classic ‘Horses’, one of the most iconic songs in Australian music history. After an 18-year break from the music industry, Daryl recently returned to recording and live performance and has been widely embraced.

RICHARD CLAPTON has endeared himself to music-lovers everywhere through his heartfelt inspired performances and a songbook that defines our times. With hits like ‘Girls On The Avenue’, ‘Deep Water’, ‘Capricorn Dancer’ and ‘I Am An Island’ Richard was a thoroughly deserving and popular inductee into the ARIA Hall Of Fame.

The unique partnership of 1927 with lead singer Eric Weideman and the acclaimed CHOIRBOYS with their anthem ‘Run To Paradise’ round out a spectacular day of quality Australian music.
