THE ARTISTS:
KASEY CHAMBERS
Kasey and husband Shane Nicholson continue to enjoy great success from their collaborative album “Rattlin’ Bones”. The album reached #1 on the ARIA Charts, has achieved platinum status, taken out ARIA, APRA and Golden Guitar awards and has been lauded as arguably the finest record of Kasey’s stellar career – and that’s saying something! With more than one million albums sold, Kasey’s heartfelt music has made her one of our most-loved and acclaimed female artists.
THE WHITLAMS
Last year’s ‘Truth, Beauty And A Picture Of You’ was a comprehensive look at the amazing journey of the Tim Freedman-led band, showcasing all their greatest hits. It debuted at #3 on the ARIA charts and reconfirmed their appeal across audiences of all ages and tastes. Freedman’s songs with their ‘charming cynicism’ and poignant melodies are perfect for an ‘a day on the green’ afternoon. The current line-up of Freedman on piano and vocals, Jak Housden on guitar, Warwick Hornby on bass guitar and Terepai Richmond on drums has remained unchanged for the last 7 years and 4 albums.
JAMES REYNE
With his unique vocal style and prolific song-writing, James Reyne has earned his stripes as one of our home-grown greats. With one of the most distinctive voices in Aussie music, James’s songs from Australian Crawl through Company Of Strangers to his platinum-lined solo records have resonated with audiences everywhere. Expect a massive Perth sing-a-long as James rolls out some Aussie classics.
ROSS WILSON
Singer, songwriter, producer and TV talent quest judge, ROSS WILSON continues to do what he does best – thrill audiences all over Australia. Ross & The Urban Legends, which features colleague Eric McCusker from Mondo Rock, are always in huge demand. His latest album ‘Tributary’ is a stunning acoustic record which sees Ross revisit and reinterpret his vast repertoire of hits. From Daddy Cool to Mondo Rock to solo albums, Ross is always a huge ‘a day on the green’ crowd favourite.
DRAGON
With a run of chart-toppers like ‘Are You Old Enough’, ‘April Sun In Cuba’, ‘Still In Love With You’, ‘Rain’ and ‘Get That Jive’, Dragon’s legacy is one of Australasia’s most successful pop bands. Joined three years ago after a lengthy hiatus by rock veteran Mark Williams as frontman, a revitalised Dragon are thrilled to be back on stage again.
